Chemical Milling and Shearing Technician I

Providing services to the Aerospace, Medical, Military and Commercial markets with precision chemical milling on fabricated components since 1988, we specialize in complex and precise chemical milling for build to print and custom projects on a wide variety of materials.  

 

THE POSITION: 
Our growing company has an opening for a Chemical Milling and Shearing Technician I. The preferred candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing or manufacturing-related position.   This position performs chemical milling and shearing operations in support of production.   This position may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals and requires the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, which is supplied by the company. This is a full-time position, on daylight shift operations at our Donora facility. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

  •  Etches specified portions of metal parts and materials using immersion equipment, templates, hand tools, and precision         measuring instruments

  •  Reads and signs off on all requirements of the Job Control Form (JCN) and process specifications to determine etch rate, finished dimensions,

  •  Cleans surface of parts and materials to remove contaminants

  •  Immerses parts in and out of tanks and measures specified removal using precision measuring instruments

  •  Chemical additions to tanks to ensure proper chemistry

  •  Position and clamp stop and side guides to set length using rule, built-in gauges, or template

  •  Lift workpiece manually or by hoist or crane to machine bed or roller table and positions it against side guide and end stops

  •  Starts machine which clamps workpiece and lowers blade to cut metal

  •  Provide assistance to Quality and Production departments to evaluate problems

  •  Requires the operation of overhead cranes and fork truck (training provided)

  •  Performs other duties as assigned

  •  Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct

  •  Packaging of finished goods to include the use of bander and scale

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED)

  • Requires Heavy Lifting of Parts 30lbs + and up to 100lbs with assistance

  • Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape (training provided)

  • Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)

  • Must be physically capable of performing the job

  • Position requires various schedules when necessary, including weekend hours and/or evening

  • Basic woodworking skills to repair or alter pallets for shipping (hammer and table saw)

  • Good work habits to maintain area cleanliness and organization

Our fast-growing company has an opening for a Material Handler. The preferred candidate would have experience working in a manufacturing position.   This position requires the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, which is supplied by the company. This is a full-time, daylight position at our Donora facility. 


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

  • Ensures orderly distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies when needed and staging completed products for shipping

  • Locates labels and packs materials for shipping

  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, material handling equipment and other machinery to move items (training provided)

  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders

  • Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product

  • Perform and report inventory counts

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct

  • Lift workpiece manually or by hoist or crane to machine bed or roller table

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED)

  • Previous stock or inventory experience a plus

  • Organizational skills and adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must be able to work well in a team

  • Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus

  • Must be physically capable of performing the job

  • Position requires various schedules when necessary, including some weekend hours and/or evening

  • Prior experience with metal products a plus

  • Basic woodworking skills to repair or alter pallets for shipping (hammer and table saw)

  • Good work habits to maintain area cleanliness and organization
