Inspection Operator I

Providing services to the Aerospace, Medical, Military and Commercial markets with precision chemical milling on fabricated components since 1988, we specialize in complex and precise chemical milling for build to print and custom projects on a wide variety of materials.
 

THE POSITION:

Our fast-growing company has an opening for an Inspection Operator. The preferred candidate would have experience working in a manufacturing position.  This position requires the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, which is supplied by the company.  This is a full-time, daylight position at our Donora facility.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Inspects and measures product to determine compliance with company's specifications and quality control system

  • Finds and measures material defects or non-uniformities such as scratches, stains, dents, pits, etc.

  • Wraps and prepares product for shipping

  • Completes dimensional data sheets and inspection reports

  • May inspect work using tape measure, gauges, templates, ultrasonic instrumentation, or micrometer to verify dimensions

  • Provide assistance to Quality and Production departments to evaluate problems and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED)

  • Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape

  • Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)

  • Must be able to find and measure material non-uniformities (scratches, dents, pits, etc.) on metal sheet surfaces down to sizes of 0.002” using the appropriate tools (provided)

  • Position requires various schedules when necessary, including weekend hours and/or evening

  • Prior experience with inspection of metal products is a plus

Shearing and Handling Operator I

THE POSITION:

Our fast-growing company has an opening for a Shear Operator/Material Handler. The preferred candidate would have experience working in a manufacturing position.   This position requires the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, which is supplied by the company. This is a full-time, daylight position at our Donora facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Sets up and operates power shear to cut metal plates and sheets, making all relevant machine adjustments

  • Position and clamp stop and side guides to set length and angle of cut, using rule, built-in gauges, or template

  • Lift workpiece manually or by hoist or crane to machine bed or roller table and positions it against side guide and end stops

  • Starts machine which clamps workpiece and lowers blade to cut metal

  • Lays out cutting lines on metal, using rule, square, or template when shearing single pieces

  • Provide assistance to Quality and Production departments to evaluate problems and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct

Chemical Milling Technician I

Providing services to the Aerospace, Medical, Military and Commercial markets with precision chemical milling on fabricated components since 1988, we specialize in complex and precise chemical milling for build to print and custom projects on a wide variety of materials.


THE POSITION: 

Our growing company has an opening for a Chemical Milling Technician I. The preferred candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing or manufacturing-related position.  This position performs chemical milling operations in support of production.   This position may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals and requires the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, which is supplied by the company.
This is a full-time position, to start on second shift operations for 2-4 months for training at our Glassport facility and then transition to daylight shift operations at our Donora facility.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Etches specified portions of metal parts and materials using immersion equipment, templates, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments  

  • Reads and signs off on all requirements of the Job Control Form (JCN) and process specifications to determine etch rate, finished dimensions, and method and sequence of operations

  • Cleans surface of parts and materials to remove contaminants

  • Immerses parts in and out of tanks and measures specified removal using precision measuring instruments

  • May require the operation of overhead cranes and other lifting equipment

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED)

  • Requires Heavy Lifting of Parts 30lbs + and up to 100lbs with assistance

  • Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape

  • Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)

  • Position requires various schedules when necessary, including weekend hours and/or evening
