THE POSITION:

Our fast-growing company has an opening for a Shear Operator/Inspector. The preferred candidate would have experience working in a manufacturing position.  This position requires the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, which is supplied by the company.  This is a full-time, daylight position at our Donora facility.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Inspects product to determine compliance with company's specifications and quality control system

  • Finds and measures material defects or non-uniformities such as scratches, stains, dents, pits, etc.

  • Wraps and prepares product for shipping

  • Completes dimensional data sheets and inspection reports 

  • May inspect work using tape measure, gauges, templates, ultrasonic instrumentation, or micrometer to verify dimensions

  • Provide assistance to Quality and Production departments to evaluate problems and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED)

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire and Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status

  • Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape

  • Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)

  • Must be able to find and measure material non-uniformities (scratches, dents, pits, etc.) on metal sheet surfaces down to sizes of 0.002” using the appropriate tools (provided)

  • Ability to work overtime and various schedules when necessary, including weekend hours and/or evenings. 

  • Prior experience with inspection of metal products is a plus

Chemical Surface Technician

THE POSITION: 

Our fast-growing company has an opening for a Chemical Surface Technician I. The preferred candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing position.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • With close supervision/training this position etches specified portions of metal parts and materials using immersion equipment, templates, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.

  • Reads work order, customer provided drawings, and process specifications to determine finished dimensions, and method and sequence of operations.

  • Cleans surface of parts and materials to ensure uniform adhesion of maskant.

  • Applies maskant to surfaces to be etched, both manually and via automation

  • Loads and unloads parts in etching fixtures.

  • Immerses parts and materials in etching solution for specified time, manually or using hoist.

  • Removes objects from etch solution, rinses objects with water, and removes remaining maskant. Measures etched parts and materials for conformance to specifications, using micrometers, scales, and other precision measuring instruments.

  • Immerses parts and materials in successive baths and rinses to perform surface processing in addition to etching, such as passivating, degreasing, and stripping, and be designated process equipment operator.

  • Operates sand blaster machine and small hand tools such as micrometers and calipers.

  • May inspect parts, use inspection equipment and understand quality requirements.

  • May perform dipping and masking of parts.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED)

  • Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape.

  • Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)

  • Must be able to work well in a team.

  • Requires heavy lifting of parts 30lbs + and up to 100lbs with assistance.

Maintenance Technician

Providing services to the Aerospace, Medical, Military and Commercial markets with precision chemical milling on fabricated components since 1988, we specialize in complex and precise chemical milling for build to print and custom projects on a wide variety of materials. 


THE POSITION: 

Our growing company has an opening for a Maintenance Technician. The preferred candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing related position with experience performing maintenance operations in support of production operations or job shop machining.  This position may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals (with the wearing of company supplied Personal Protective Equipment).

This is a full-time position supporting both our Glassport and Donora facilities, on a day shift of 7:00am – 3:30pm.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes

  • Under supervision, perform equipment replacement, repairs, or new equipment installations

  • Safe chemical handling and chemistry transfer using various types of pumps

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting and resolution of breakdown or out of control situations

  • Assist with the set up and operation of machine tools (lathes, grinders, mills, drill presses, etc.) to repair and/or fabricate parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools

  • Complete and maintain OSHA, DEP or other company regulatory paperwork as required after training

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Maintain full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED) and 2 years of experience, or an Associate Degree or Military Education in a related field

  • Must be able to work well in a team

  • Requires occasional heavy lifting of parts up to 50lbs + and up to 100lbs with assistance

  • Operate mobile equipment such as fork truck, scissor or boom lift after training has been successfully completed

  • Ability to read blueprints, provide basic sketches for fabrication and use fundamental measurement tools

  • Knowledge of basic machining, plumbing and electrical capabilities, including troubleshooting reading electrical schematics

  • Use of both specialized and standard computer applications in the performance of duties

  • Ability to work varying schedules and overtime when necessary, including weekend hours and/or evenings

Quality Technician I/II

THE POSITION:

Our fast-growing company has an opening for a Quality Technician. The qualified candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing related position, preferably with direct experience with laboratory procedures, measuring of parts, and statistical methods. This is a full-time, daylight position at our Glassport facility.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

•    Assist the Quality Manager and Process Quality Engineer (PQE) in performing and documenting solution analysis.
•    Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of parts as required. 
•    Perform standard wet process laboratory analysis such as chemical bath titrations.
•    Maintain proper quality logs and/or quality records as required by customer and government agencies.
•    50% of job will require parts measurement.
•    Perform and document quality compliance audits as necessary.
•    Perform and document calibration of quality critical equipment and instrumentation.
•    Assist in the training of personnel in quality requirements and related procedures.
•    Complete and/or verify part quality documentation (certifications, job control documents, etc.)
•    FAA repair station safety sensitive inspection. FAA mandated drug and alcohol testing applies to this position.
•    Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

•    Ability to accurately measure in-process and final processed parts with high precision utilizing most fundamental measurement tools. 
•    Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED).
•    Experience working in a quality position, a laboratory analysis position and/or in a manufacturing field preferred. 
•    Use of both specialized and standard computer applications in the performance of duties.
•    Requires Heavy Lifting of Parts 30lbs + and up to 100lbs with assistance.
•    Ability to work overtime and various schedules when necessary, including weekend hours and/or evenings.
