Our Facilities

Tech Met, Inc, a leading service provider for the aerospace, defense and medical industries was featured on a nationally televised production called “Manufacturing Marvels” produced by (Marvel Production Group, LLC) January 2019 on The Fox Business Network. This two-minute production showcases both Tech Met facilities; the main Glassport 20,000 square ft. facility and newly opened Donora 80,000 sq. ft. location. 

Tech Met's has over 100,000 sq ft combined production and support space between their two facilities. Wet process areas have been specifically designed to house and contain the hazardous materials associated with the chemical milling process.


Ventilation equipment has been engineered to provide a safe working environment for operators and to comfortably comply with all local, state and federal  air emissions regulations. The compliant and responsible storage, handling and disposal of hazardous materials and waste byproducts is an integral part of what we do.

 Size/Capacity:
Capabilities include parts up to 10,000 pounds, twenty feet in length and sheet materials up to 36” x 96” Product forms processed include heavy plate, castings, forgings, flat and formed sheet materials, tube, pipe and bar stock components.
The processing operations consist of twenty processing tanks divided between three operations cells: ferrous alloys cell, titanium alloys cell and specialty/other cell.  

The largest tanks by alloy/cell can accommodate the maximum part sizes listed below:
Fe Alloys Cell:            6’ x 6’ x 4’    10’ x 5’ x 2.5’    
Tumbled/rotated forgings:    2.5’ x 1’ x 1’
Ti Alloys Cell:            6’ x 6’ x 4’    10’ x 5’ x 2.5’    
Tumbled/rotated forgings:    2.5’ x 1’ x 1’
Specialty/Other Cell:        6’ x 4’ x 4’    20’ x 1’ x 1’
